The Great Wall of China. Who could forget the bus ride to the Great Wall...A crazy driver that could not keep his hand off the horn and would overtake on blind corners! On arrival at a more remote part of the Great Wall, Jinshanling we were treated to the most fantastic sunset sunset upon the wall. This was followed by a buffet meal and then Karaoke (...a la la la long long long li long!) and a disco with a group of Chinese people The day of the walk was a warm and clear. During the walk we were accompanied on the way by locals trying to sell souvineirs but apart from that the part of the wall we walked upon was practically deserted. And who could forget the walk finishing up with a "zip slide" off the wall. |
