After about a 6 hour bus journey via Guilin from Yangshuo and we arrived at the Longji rice terraces. The road quality was excellent in many places as we were riding on brand new roads. There were however some quite hairy bits with sheer drops where the road was being constructed.

The Longji rice terraces are quite high up in the hills and the air is noticably cooler. This was also the first time in the entire trip that the weather was cloudy.
