The exhibition begins with a fancy wraparound video presentation introducing the history and story of the Terracotta soldiers. After this we were free to explore the vast halls where the terracotta soldiers are displayed and also where the ongoing archeological digs are taking place. There are 3 halls that house the terracotta soldiers and these halls are covered mostly to protect them from the sun. This was also about the only time in the Xi'an area that we saw any significant amount of Western tourists, some of them wearing face masks, paranoid about pollution, not even thinking about the cheese burgers and doughnuts that they eat back home.
