After about 24 hours travelling time (SOFT sleeper and bus) we arrived at yangshuo for our first proper taste of the Chinese countryside.

The main street of Yangshuo is a very sterotypical backpackers place - many bars and many stalls selling touristy trinkets. We stayed in "Lisa's Guesthouse", just one of the many identical guesthouses in Yangshuo.
